The "snowpocolypse" has left the members of the Dupe to their own entertainment and limited to a 20 block radius. After we realized we were in it for the long haul, we thought we'd make the best of things and have Craft Day! We made some cool things... and a big mess as well. We took a walk to Fred Meyer for some entertainment. Britta fell no less than 3 times within the first block. Note: Don't wear Uggs in the snow. What would a snow day be without a trip to the pub? The Sundown Tavern is our new fave... Santa frequents the place and they don't mind you bringing in a Pagliacci pizza from across the street.
We finished out the day with some sledding. We live near a great sledding hill and we learned that we live near people that could actually be considered within our peer group (aka non-grandparents). Good times were had by all.

Nothing but class here at the Dupe house, even while enjoying a bonfire in the yard. This last week we busted out our newly borrowed fire bowl and enjoyed a few roasted marshmallows and even starbursts in our back yard.
Yay for fire!

Badmitton

We set up our badmitton net last night. During an intense rally, Britta swung a little too hard and the shuttlecock flew on the roof. We thought of fashioning some sort of poking device, but we don't have any duct tape. So, next best thing, we threw the kickball at it. I hope the neighbors don't hate us.

Lisa gave it a few shots, grandma style.

Then we got a better idea.

Kelly thinks we're ridiculous. And we are!
Tonight, we made up a couple of new drinking games... one being Beer Badmitton.

Recycling Day

Today, we missed recycling day for the second time in a row (and they only come around every other week). Our pile is getting out of hand.

Family Day

On Sunday, we had brunch at our house with our families... breakfast burritos, yum! We have lots of left overs (ie. two dozen eggs and 20 tortillas), so we're thinking about having a follow up "breakfast for dinner" party. That, or anybody can just come over and eat this stuff.
